Kill Shot

1–2 minutes

To read

I am dying and no one cares.
Teeth blackened, eyes hallowed, waters full of refuse.

The watchmen are slumbering. No knight to stand guard of the sacred sea.

I. am. dying.

Shriveling up into oblivion.
Hair white as snow. Heart slowing and four-legged kin vanishing.

The ancient ones now slumber, for you have forgotten. Forgotten to hear me dance in the wind.

Lost are my ancient songs of wisdom on a new age body.

My organic pulse flowing through channels of life blocked by AI and mind control. Frozen Amazons thawing as non-human grows in greed.

You have forgotten my child. You have forgotten your place. Your departure is the kill shot heard by millions. Billions.

I am dying. And no one cares.
